Our Team
Larry Haas
Position Title
Larry earned his degree in 1979 as an optician from Ferris State University, after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University. After managing an independent optical shop, he decided to open his own store where he could reflect his vision of a top-notch dispensary in his own community. Dedicated to personal service and high-quality eyewear, Larry enjoys coming to the office to help people see better and look their best. His expert fittings and problem-solving — especially after accidental mishaps with glasses — are his forte. Outside of the office, Larry is an avid cyclist and rides annually in Pelotonia to support Team Bexley and cancer research.
Steve
Position Title
Steve began his optical career in 1977 and has been with Bexley Optical since 1985. He is a licensed optician and your go-to resource for questions about your vision. A past president of the Central Ohio Opticians Association, Steve runs our in-house finishing lab with a no-compromise attitude toward crafting every set of lenses. Known for his attention to detail and deep lens expertise, he especially enjoys working on the toughest prescriptions. His goal is to help you achieve your best possible vision.
Todd Snyder
Position Title
Todd is a licensed optician who has practiced in Columbus for over 30 years. In that time, he has helped countless people achieve clear vision and express their individual style. In addition to providing exceptional customer service, Todd brings a background in management and frame inventory. With a strong aesthetic eye, he personally curates our frame collection to ensure there’s something for everyone. The only thing he enjoys more than finding new frame styles for our shelves is helping you find your perfect fit.
Dr. Joseph Blake
Position Title
Dr. Blake is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry and also earned his undergraduate degree as a Buckeye. He performs comprehensive eye exams including expert refractions, in-depth ocular health evaluations, and contact lens fittings. Dr. Blake’s goal is simple: to improve your life by optimizing and preserving your vision.

We have a deep passion for all things optical, and over the years, we've collected a unique array of artifacts related to eyewear — including vintage frames, historical doctor’s equipment, and lens fabrication tools. Some of the pieces in our collection date back to the 1600s. Our Optical Museum has been carefully curated with respect for the history of our profession and is proudly on display at our location for visitors to explore.
